ST. ROMAIN OIL STORE NETWORK RAISES $17,222 FOR ST. JUDE'S CHILDREN'S RESEARCH HOSPITAL THROUGH THE SHELL GIVING PUMP PROGRAM

[Mansura, LA] (January 20, 2022) —  ST. ROMAIN OIL is proud to announce a collective donation of $17,222 to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital as part of the Shell “The Giving Pump” initiative at stations across Central Louisiana. Shell launched “The Giving Pump” program as part of its Force For Good initiative to drive positive change in local communities by giving back.

During the months of August, September and October of 2022, a portion of the purchases made by consumers who used the designated pump at the St. Romain Oil network of Shell stations supported the children's charity, St. Jude's. “The Giving Pump” at the station was specially marked with colorful signage to inspire consumers to fuel up and support this charity.

More than 3,000 Shell stations across the U.S. participated in this two-month Giving Pump initiative, benefitting more than 400 children’s charities.

St. Romain Oil is a family-owned convenience store and wholesale fuels company, proudly operating in central Louisiana for three generations.

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital partners with St. Romain Oil for Shell’s "The Giving Pump" To Offer Consumers the Opportunity to Use Their Fill-Up for Good

[Mansura, LA] (Aug. 1st, 2022) — St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital is proud to partner with St. Romain Oil Co.  for the Shell USA (Shell) “The Giving Pump” as part of its Force For Good initiative to drive positive change in local communities by giving back. Starting today and running through October 31st, 2022, a portion of the purchases made by consumers who use the designated pump at Shell stations across St. Romain Oil's Y-Not Stop locations and network of Shell dealer locations will support St. Jude's Children's Hospital. 
 

“The Giving Pump” at Shell stations across Central Louisiana will be specially marked with colorful signage to inspire consumers to fuel up and support this local charity. It’s easy to participate in the program, and it costs customers nothing extra. 

“No parent should ever have to worry about paying for their sick child's medical treatments. 
Can you even imagine the devastation and fear they must feel?  
We can't. 
Thankfully, that's where St. Jude's steps in and works to heal children and take care of families. 
 
There are so many children from right here in CenLA that have received life-saving treatments from St. Jude's, and our hearts truly go out to those families. We want to support them and St. Jude's in any way we can, so it was a natural fit to partner with St. Jude's for the Giving Pump fundraiser. We hope the 29 Giving Pumps in our network of Shell locations help raise funds and awareness for this incredible organization. Last year our network raised over $12,000, and we look forward to raising even more this year!” said Amanda St. Romain, Marketing Director of St. Romain Oil.

Since launching Force for Good, Shell has highlighted the impacts its wholesalers have made in the communities in which they operate, going beyond fuel quality and loyalty. In 2021, Shell Wholesalers and retailers donated over $1.5 million and supported over 400 children’s charities through The Giving Pump.
